Product showcase: bold and playful British furniture
With an impressive sustainability story, a 'manufactory' in the UK, and bold product design, the Saxen team is excited to present ob&b's unique and quirky soft seating, pods, tables, and storage collections.

ob&b designs, manufactures and installs great British furniture. With a passion for design, the company came to life in 1983 when its two directors — Dinah Phillips and Richard Berry — met on a foundation course at Bourneville College of Art at only 21 years old. They set up a furniture workshop in High Wycombe; fast-forward to today, and they have a factory in the Midlands.
products designed for agile working environments and with the circular economy in mind.
ob&b — makers of great British furniture.
The ob&b team comprises talented upholsters, designers, pattern cutters, frame makers, and machinists who create their unforgettable line of products. Every item is designed and developed in-house with a focus on even the tiniest of details to ensure it’s something that they can be proud to add to their collection, and is backed by a ten-year warranty.
Bubba – undulating curves.
The Bubba range includes a sofa, chair, pod, and table — all statement pieces with the perfect amount of quirkiness. The design boasts a series of undulating curves on the upholstered base. With many configuration options, Bubba works for casual get-together areas, a waiting area, or even as a singular chair for relaxing.
There’s also Bubba Curve, a gently curving seating system which suits collaborative or agile working. All Bubba Curve configurations are available with planters to bring in some biophilic energy.
The Bubba table's base slides perfectly under chairs, sofas, and modular seating in the Bubba and Connect ranges. Made from metal and glass, it is 100% recyclable. Beyond being sustainable, it’s also seriously stylish, available in a wide range of powder-coated colours and metallic finishes, with unique tabletop options such as Cosmos, Ocean, and Spectra – all with an exposed ply edge.
Nelly table – playful and rotund.
The Nelly table is both curvy and practical, making it a prominent centrepiece in any space. Available in two diameters — 760 or 1000 mm — it’s perfect for small or large rooms. You can choose a glass or laminate top, and the fabric base can be specified from a wide range of fabric bands from renowned manufacturers such as Camira, Kvadrat, Agua, Gabriel and Panaz.

Blah Blah – space to talk.
What a perfect name for this range of 1, 2, 4, and 6-person booths designed for online meetings, collaborative chats, and making phone calls. We are particular fans of the Blah Blah Focus, a semi-private pod for one, which is a beautiful addition to open-plan environments, fostering a quiet, focused escape. Offered with a generous choice of fabrics, and smart power and data accessories, including battery power to allow total freedom of placement, you are in complete control of customising your Blah Blah Focus pod to create an extremely agile and mobile pod.
Perch — limitless configurations.
Crafted from responsibly sourced FSC-certified ply, Perch can be used alone or in a group to create clusters of bleacher seating, bench seating, tables, and storage boxes. Meticulously designed to work as a multifunctional modular range with plenty of sizes, shapes, and upholstery choices, it’s the perfect all-in-one solution for demanding spaces. The photos speak for themselves.
Shaun — statement seating.
ob&b has a flair for designing curvy and chunky pieces, such as the bold Shaun chair and bench. This bubbly lounge chair is perfect for hospitality and residential interiors. With lashings of comfortable cushioning, it’s available in ob&b’s full fabric range and complements the Shaun bench perfectly. The Shaun bench is chunky, like the chair, but still compact, making it suitable for spaces of any size. Together, they work to create a soft but bold pair that is oh, so inviting.
The design is in the details.
Commitment to sustainability.
Like Saxen, ob&b are always looking for ways to incorporate sustainability into the finer details of their company. Their goal is to design and manufacture responsibly while minimising their carbon footprint and reducing waste. On top of that, they ensure that their furniture is quality, durable, and comfortable for at least a decade to reduce replacement rates and improve sustainability.
Their products are also made from parts that can easily be disassembled and reconfigured to suit ever-changing needs, making them versatile for years ahead. With this easy reconfiguration option, it’s simple to replace single elements and recycle almost all components.
ob&b also provides a Take Back programme where they repurpose unwanted products. They will either refurbish or reuse the pieces for local charities. When neither of these options is available, they will recycle responsibly to avoid sending to landfill.
Keeping it local.
ob&b has invested heavily in their factory operations to ensure everything is done locally and sustainably. The factory is strategically located with all 15 of its suppliers within a 25-mile radius to reduce carbon emissions and boost the local economy.
The Saxen team is always delighted to find a manufacturer whose philosophy aligns so well with our own – and that's what ob&b is to us. They care about the ingredients, the ones that go into the design, the construction, the team as a whole, and the details that ensure a completely circular and sustainable model… just like us.
