sustainable products.

Sustainability breeds innovation..

what’s more satisfying than a well-made piece of furniture?

Furniture that is sustainably made.

Sustainability breeds innovation, and these brands are producing products that meet the demands of a circular economy.

Tejo has been designed for circularity: Isomi.

Isomi's core philosophy is to work with materials in their most natural state to create timeless designs.

Their Tejo modular seating range is recycled, recyclable, and renewable. Tejo offers flexibility to either challenge or adhere to any space. Tejo comprises three core components: a bench, sofa, and a back-to-back sofa, featuring a range of tables, planters, and power modules.

Each material used in the manufacturing of the Tejo range is sourced from nature. Including cork, natural latex, wool and hemp fabrics, Tejo is constructed almost entirely from the ground up.

a new way of working with wool: Solidwool

A sustainable composite material made with 50/50 British wool and bio-resin. Think fibreglass, but with wool.

This Devon-based company's goal is to position Solidwool as the premier natural, environmentally friendly, and superior-quality wool composite material; and for it to be recognised as a sustainable substitute for petrochemical-based plastics and composites.

Saxen love Solidwood's beautiful Hembury chairs and side tables made from natural materials, and the story that connects people to the land from which the products have come.

green ambitions in furniture manufacturing: Origin.

Origin Furniture recognised the importance of moving to more sustainable methods of manufacture and procurement. That’s why they’ve recently increased the use of recycled PP in their poly chairs.

50% of the polymer used in all Origin’s chairs is made from recycled content. To create rigid and durable products, they reinforce the chair with prime glass. Post-industrial recycled PP is gathered from products failed to meet quality standards and from industrial waste produced from the manufacturing process. Rather than the waste going to landfill, it is ground up, remixed, and up-cycled into Origin’s products.

from old jeans to contemporary furniture: Planq.

Yes, you read that right, from jeans to a chair. And not just jeans – we are talking army gear, coffee bags, and old suits all made into chairs and stylish storage.

This innovative method of production comes from a brand called PLANQ, whose aim is to transform low-value materials and turn them into high-value interiors.

By embracing the circular design process, PLANQ is bridging the gap between contemporary design, sustainable innovation, and environmental awareness.

The outcome: stylish furniture.

leading the way in sustainable innovation: Vepa.

Vepa has created some amazing furniture pieces using recyclable PET bottles, biomaterials like Hemp, and, in partnership with The Plastic Whale, sustainably-sourced oak for products like their Whale Table.

Vepa's products and operations comply with both the UK and European Health and Safety and environmental regulations. By sourcing materials from sustainable supply points and manufacturing products close to the market, Nomique meets Western European regulations and laws concerning social responsibility.

focus on a sustainable world: Casala.

Casala aims to use as much recycled raw material as possible when producing its furniture; their seats and backs are made from 100% recycled plastic household waste.

They take significant strides to create beautiful and functional furniture with minimal impact on the earth. In doing so, they not only look at their own activities, but also the most effective working methods with suppliers and clients.

considering the impact upon the environment: Connection.

Connection’s Peacework boasts sustainable production using PET/ FELT materials derived from post-consumer waste sources. The PET surround sound is also 100% recyclable.

Connection consider the impact upon the environment throughout all of their processes, from the initial design of the product, through its manufacture and delivery, right up to disposal when it has reached the end of its useful life.

ethical aesthetics from S-cab design.

S-cab, with their HUG collection, bring to the forefront a creative and green collection suitable for both indoor and outdoor environments.

It's made with Post-Consumer Recycled (PCR) material obtained from the processing and regeneration of production residues thanks to the use of energy from renewable sources.

Their collection of HUG chairs reaches a new level of quality and sustainability.

Welcome to the world of ethical aesthetics, done right.

circular design using end of life steel products: Origin.

Steel is strong, inexpensive, and recyclable. It is the most recycled material on the planet, and whilst it may not be a new material, it is versatile: an Origin chair may have once been a car panel, structural beam, or hand rail.

Origin’s steel products are made from 56% recycled and 44% virgin material. This combination is considered the most sustainable, as demand for steel outstrips the amount recycled. Steel has been recycled for over 150 years, and so long as the material can be easily separated, the process is efficient, economical and CO2-efficient, cutting emissions by 58%.
