Product showcase: Les Forêts wall coverings by Arte
The Les Forêts collection from Arte includes a range of beautiful, textured wall coverings using natural materials – bark, raffia, wood – and forest patterns to make you feel immersed in the outdoors.
The collection combines contrasting natural materials, experimenting with formats and textures to deliver an interior choice unlike anything else we’ve seen before.
Les Forêts is an ode to the mysterious atmosphere of a dense forest.

Tinto wall covering – Les Forêts sustainable solutions
Take Tinto, a design made from the bark of a banana tree. The bark is dyed in various natural shades before being manually woven into a checkerboard pattern. It is then cut into tiles arranged in a tight pattern, available in shades cinnamon, chocolate, and moss.

Ruban wall covering – an offbeat beauty
Ruban is another playful design which takes risks with varying thicknesses to create an unexpected interior. Narrow raffia strips are hand-glued to a non-woven backing before being cut into wider strips. These strips are woven with ultra-fine thread, delivering a final design with an intriguing mix of narrow and wide strips. Available in green, oak, honey beige and sky blue.

Dioré by Arte – a printed high-pile textile
The Saxen team also love Dioré, a modern and abstract spin on classic tapestries. Through the textile and colour choices, it’s similar to a hand-tufted carpet. As a wall covering, it creates a dramatic, cosy and stately atmosphere. Inspired by the Forêt de Dioré, this wall covering is available in four shades — Grass, Desert Sun, Mustard, and Cobalt — all reflecting the impression of foliage.

Infini – instilling infinite calmness
Infini is an organic choice in pale, comforting colours: teal, mushroom, sandstone, and autumnal shades. It’s made from paper thread and banana leaf, hand-woven and dyed. The imperfections on the wall covering are intentional to showcase Infini’s authenticity. The fibres absorb the dye unevenly to create a natural and unique texture, and small knots are dotted throughout the covering, creating a lively effect.

Éclat — a wall covering that shimmers and shines
The word Éclat is French for ‘shine’ and that’s what this wall covering does in a room. Bold and subtly glossy, Éclat radiates a soft sheen that shimmers through the thin cork layer. Boasting a large block pattern reinforced by cork for a sturdy look, Éclat is available in seven colourways. Not only does this look fabulous on walls, but it makes quite the statement when applied to ceilings.

Tresse from Arte — a mellow covering in natural shades
Tresse is one of Artes' more playful wall coverings, designed to look good in any space. It features a print of casual braids made from natural fibres in varying thicknesses. Then, it’s finished with a layer of velour to ensure a soft surface that still accents the natural print. The product is available in a range of natural colours, including Khaki, Sepia, Tan, Straw, and Hazel.

Ajoura — an emblazoned impression
Born to be bold, Ajoura is a luxurious wall covering made from real wood and consisting of leaf and floral patterns. Boasting a dreamlike beauty and an impression of etching, the liveliness of Ajoura is something to behold. Available in Walnut, Birch, and Ebony finishes, it honours the intention of the Les Forêts collection: to immerse the viewer in the outdoors.
